2008 Payson Aero Fair
May 17, 2008 7:30 to 2:00 pm.
FREE ADMISSION!
Scenic aircraft rides are provided by the Experimental Aircraft Association (EAA) chapter #810. The pilots volunteer use of their airplanes and their flying time. The EAA uses the donations to support nonprofit organizations in Payson.
Aircraft rides will be available for donations of $25
Many types of aircraft will be on display, along with vintage and classic car displays, all sorts of food and craft vendors and community clubs and local organizations. It is a wonderful family experience, as well a fun day for the aviation or car enthusiast. Music all day by Fred, the DJ.
We will have military participation and ground displays of a Blackhawk helicopter and a Hummer, all decked out. Cadets from the Civil Air Patrol (CAP) and volunteers will direct visitors to parking for cars outside the airport. Shuttles and handicapped parking will be available.
Start your aviation day with hearty breakfast 7:30 to 10:30 AM. The Payson Pilots Association is serving pancakes, sausage, eggs, juice and coffee for only $7.00. Payson Pilots Association also donates the profits from this event to local charities in the Payson and surrounding area. These clubs just keep on giving!
Breakfast is FREE for any active military personnel in uniform for the event. This is a grand opportunity for us to recognize our military and all they are doing for us. Bring your gratitude and share it freely! And it just happens to be Armed Forces Day.
Wander around the airport to view airplanes on display. Pilots will be happy to show you the Piper Super Cub, RV6, LongEse, Bonanza, classic Cessna aircraft, Bellanca Citabria, home builts and many more.
New aircraft will be on display by Cessna, Mooney, Cirrus and Light Sport Aircraft.
Learn about camping gear pilots take along in their airplane. See Paul Pitkin's display of tent camping next to his shiny, aluminum Cessna 180 and get creative ideas for yourselves.
Payson's friendly fly-in campground is available for aircraft coming in for the event at no charge, but do contact the Airport at (928) 472-4748 to let us know you will be camping so it is not over filled.
Admission is free for the whole event so come and enjoy the fun at your Payson Airport May 17, 2008.
